What to see and do in Châteauroux
Visit Château Raoul
Situated in the heart of the city, this castle was originally built in the 10th century and has survived the centuries.
However, it was largely renovated in a neo-Gothic style during the 19th century.
Although it is usually closed to the public, Château Raoul opens its doors to the curious on exceptional dates.

Notre-Dame de Châteauroux church
Built just a few steps from Château Raoul, this 19th-century church will win you over with its Romanesque influences.
You'll particularly appreciate its sculpted capitals adorning the nave or a 6-metre-high copper statue of the Virgin.

The town's historic centre
Built in the 10th century, Châteauroux has accumulated historical treasures over the centuries.
One of these is the heart of the town, where you can wander through the cobbled streets to your heart's content.
A tour lasting around 1h30 hours is available from the Tourist Office.
The Brenne Regional Park
