Hôtel de la Cité Royale
Stunning, comfy hotel in a perfect city-center spot with free parking, spacious rooms, great beds, and a generous breakfast; warm, attentive staff too. Spa is small/can feel crowded and dinner fell short of my expectations for 4* hotel restaurant (a few service/kitchen hiccups), though the team did try to makeup for it. If I ever pass by Loches again, I'll definitely return 😊
My wife has stayed here before with friends. We only stayed one night in early October but hotel rooms/bathrooms are beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Will use this hotel anytime we need somewhere to stay in this area.
High end hotel with modern rooms - chain style. All very clean and comfortable. The spa was very small for the size of the hotel and a bit disappointing. All staff very young but service was good. Fantastic breakfast.
This is a beautiful hotel with so much potential. The decor in the public spaces is lovely and the terrace just perfect in a sunny evening. The rooms are very good and everything there worked well for us. It made me very sad that the hotel was understaffed to meet the needs of its guests. The staff who were there were doing their best but not all of them were sufficiently experienced and on a Monday when most restaurants are closed the bistro needed to be able to cope with the volume of guests - and it couldn’t. We ended up not eating in the evening. Breakfast similarly was not geared for the number of guests. Such a shame. I hate to say it but perhaps you need to raise your prices so that you can afford adequate staffing.

Check-in was chaotic and unprofessional, lacking any sense of welcome or organization. Our room was large, but located above the pool, and the overpowering smell of chlorine drifted constantly into the room.
Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The room was dirty upon arrival, and housekeeping failed to clean it the following day. We had to ask for fresh towels ourselves, while the toilet and bathroom remained visibly unclean.
It’s a shame, because the building itself has real potential and architectural charm. But the interior operation feels neglected and motel-like rather than refined hospitality
