Roses and Valleys
Azay-sur-Indre – Chédigny – Chambourg-sur-IndreNestling between two green valleys, the River Indre and River Indrois weave through the Tours countryside. The two rivers finally meet at Azay-sur-Indre.
Close by the Chédigny garden village is well worth exploring. Admire over 1,000 roses, 1,500 bulbs, hundreds of shrubs and over 3,000 perennials in the streets of this unique village awarded the title of “Remarkable Garden”.

Continue your retreat to the heart of the Tours countryside on your bike, where other treasures await you.
- The Saint-Sauveur Abbey in Villeloin-Coulangé, formerly a catholic Benedictine Abbey founded in the 9th century.
- An old 15th-century master in the church of Saint-Martin in Nouans-les-Fontaines.
- A priory long forgotten in the woods.
- And even the well concealed remains of a Gallo-Roman aqueduct
Deep in Loches Forest
Saint-Quentin-sur-Indrois – Chambourg-sur-Indre – Ferrière-sur-Beaulieu – GenilléCycle deep into the Loches national forest following large 18th century paths through the oaks, some of which are over 200 years old.
You will see a variety of fauna as well as a few unusual sights, such as the Pyramide Saint-Quentin, a useful landmark helping you to stay on track in this vast forest. What’s more there are three other similar obelisks!
As you leave the forest, continue this change of scene along the Indrois Valley.
